Center of Hope is an extension of who we are and what Church is! We have ministered in outdoor crusades on beaches, in bullrings, city parks, flatbed-trucks, sidewalks, coffeehouses, bars, apartments, swap meets, parades, ...wherever people gather! To share the Gospel and defy spiritual oppression, for over 25 years! Starting churches, helping sister churches, building lifelong friendships, discipling leaders to be and do whatever GOD has called them to, and learning to be better leaders. Watching GOD answer simple faith in awesome ways! Restoring lives, healing bodies, prospering households, reviving marriages,raising up GODly men and women, just as HE always has, since Acts 1!!! Having both seen and endured the good, the bad, and the ugly sides of Christianity, and watching GOD reign Graciously through it all!...We refuse to major in the minors, and minor in the majors!
Having been in several genuine "waves" of HOLY GHOSTed revival, we've seen people become obscured, expendable, and insignificant, by the very ministries GOD used them to raise up from obscurity, disregarded as "churched" people. People!...are the only reason any Christian ministry or church exists! The core of our involvement, wherever we've gone, however we've served, is our relationships with everyone we've known.
Our history compels us to be a church that's active and relative to its community. A church that dares to free itself from dead practices and programs. To grow in creative and compelling corporate worship. Where heralding the Word risks reaching out to our multi-sensory, multi-layered society with music, drama, internet, and other unique expressions of love and faith. A church that walks in the life of Christ.Driven to find its uniqueness beyond being a cookie cutter copy of the “successful designer church.”
Our history's a priceless heritage that we only hope to honor along with all sister churches, regardless of our differences in doctrine, theology, or religious practice and style.
